Minitab Installation for Windows

The License process for Minitab has changed as of January 2022. The software is now licensed by login through CAS Single Sign On.

You can download the software from the Minitab site, https://www.minitab.com/en-us/support/downloads/#mtbFiles

After downloading the Minitab installer file to your computer, browse to the download location and run the Minitab installer. During the installation, you will be asked to activate with a license or 30 day trial. Select the license option.

Please contact the ITS Help Desk and submit a request if you need assistance.

!!UPDATE!! your Minitab software as soon as possible because this maintenance release contains a critical bug fix that impacts the Predictive Analytics Module Predict commands when entering individual values. This affects CART, TreeNet and Random Forests Classification and Regression Predict. Minitab Statistical Software version 21.3, released Nov. 9, 2022, erroneously added extra text to categorical predictor values causing it to be misinterpreted so your results may be inaccurate.

The latest release of Minitab (21.3.1) upgrade information can be found at the link below
