The License process for Minitab has changed as of January 2022. The software is now licensed by login through CAS Single Sign On.
You can download the software from the Minitab site, https://www.minitab.com/en-us/support/downloads/#mtbFiles
After downloading the Minitab installer file to your computer, browse to the download location and run the Minitab installer. During the installation, you will be asked to activate with a license or 30 day trial. Select the license option.

!!UPDATE!! your Minitab software as soon as possible because this maintenance release contains a critical bug fix that impacts the Predictive Analytics Module Predict commands when entering individual values. This affects CART, TreeNet and Random Forests Classification and Regression Predict. Minitab Statistical Software version 21.3, released Nov. 9, 2022, erroneously added extra text to categorical predictor values causing it to be misinterpreted so your results may be inaccurate.

On the next screen, choose the licensing method option to Sign In.
After the installation completes, open Minitab from your applications menu. On startup, you will see the Sign In screen. Enter your full Binghamton University email address and click the Next button.
Select Binghamton from the Campus menu and click the Log in button.
You will then see the Central Authentication Service (CAS) Single Sign On screen. Enter your user name (do not include the @binghamton.edu) and your password and click Submit.
You will then be prompted for your One Time Password which you can get from the Google Authenticator App where you have set up your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for CAS.
You will now have access to use Minitab. Your access to Minitab will work the same on the Virtual Desktop. Open Minitab and choose the option to Sign In.
