The first thing you should do is see if the printer is listed in Self Service (Application on all university-managed Macs).
- Open Self Service
- Click the Browse tab on the left panel and select the Printers option
- Verify if your network printer is displayed

Connecting to a network printer on Mac can be difficult because you need to know the IP address of the printer, and that information is only available in very specific locations.
- Retrieve the printer’s IP address from the ITS Help Desk
The ITS Help Desk staff can provide IP addresses for printers managed on the ITS print server. When you contact the Help Desk, please provide your printer’s building and room number.
