Service Description
ITS manages a fleet of loaner laptop computers for short term use by faculty, staff and students while University or personal computers are being repaired. Loaners are issued based on availability of equipment and need.
Computer Use
Loaner computers will be used according the Binghamton University Computer and Acceptable Use Policy.
It is highly recommended that you connect to your network storage drive, Google Drive or a removable disk drive to access and save files. Avoid saving files on the loaner computer. Technical Support and ITS are not responsible for data files saved to the computer. The loaner computer will be re-imaged upon its return.
Loaner Return
The loaner computer and charger must be returned within 30 days or as soon as repair on the University or personally owned machine is complete, and in the same condition as it was given out. The borrower or the borrower's department may be responsible for any damages or for lost or stolen.
