Overview
This article provides instructions for mapping your Faculty or Staff network drives on your MacOS.
Note: To connect to network drives from off-campus, you must first connect to iVanti VPN.

MacOS
- In the Finder, click on the Go menu, select Connect to Server.

- Enter smb:// followed by the address for the resource you wish to map.
- For your H drive, or personal drive, type the following where username followed by the "$" symbol: smb://bushare.binghamton.edu/username$

- For your S drive, or shared drive, type the following where departmentdrivename is the name of your department or shared folder:smb://bushare.binghamton.edu/departmentdrivename

- Enter your Name as BU\username as a Registered User when prompted and click Connect.

- A folder will open to display your files and folders.
NOTE: For Encrypted Research Storage, type the following, replacing usernameORlabname with the name assigned to you: smb://researchstorage.binghamton.edu/usernameORlabname
