Quick Tips for List Owners of a Listserv
List Owners can add members, delete members and get a listing of members subscribed to a Listserv using the Listesrv wesite or by using email commands.
Send an email message to listserv@listserv.binghamton.edu.
Leave the Subject field blank.
In the message body observe the following formats:
To add: add listname email address students name
example: add anylist-l bz12345@binghamton.edu Joe Suny
To drop: quiet delete listname email address
example: quiet delete anylist-l bz12345@binghamton.edu
To get an alphabetical listing of students & email addresses: review listname (by name
example: review anylist-l (byname
An email message to Listserv can contain multiple commands.
A list management tool is available to list owners at http://listserv.binghamton.edu. If you are not on campus, the Listserv website requires connecting to Ivanti Secure VPN first. If you own a Listserv and need to update the owners or configuration from off campus and you do not have a Binghamton University VPN login, please contact an owner who has access or contact the Help Desk for assistance.

The subscribe and signoff commands should be executed from the email account that is or will be associated with the Listserv.
