Service Description

Information Technology Services provides access to a secure sockets layer (SSL) virtual private network (VPN). This encrypted connection allows faculty, staff, and students to securely access University resources such as Remote Desktop (RDP), file shares, Banner, and other services that require additional security measures.

Remote Desktop Access
Information Technology Services allows approved users to connect to their computer using the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). This is an elevated account access, and is only provided when requested by a Binghamton University employee with a valid business need, and approved by Information Security.
System-Level Student VPN Access
Allow/modify/remove student access to a system or service that they don't normally have access to through a VPN connection.
Virtual Private Network
Information Technology Services provides a Virtual Private Network (VPN) for off-campus users to connect to on-campus resources.
