Zoom: Linking It With Your Calendar

Purpose

Connecting your Zoom account with your Google and/or Microsoft calendar, enables you to schedule Zoom meetings, invite people, add notes and attachments right from your calendar.  When you create a meeting via your calendar, you can still go into your Zoom account to change any settings or options.

Steps

  1. Log into your Zoom account and Sign-In via the SS0
  2. If you do not already have any calendar linked with your account, you will see a blue notification at the top of the screen. You can click on "connect" in the alert or just scroll to the bottom of the page, where "connect" takes you anyway.

  3. At the bottom of the page, click on the Configure button.

  4. Select one calendar to link your Zoom with.  You can link all of these calendars, but have to do them one at a time.

  5. When you click on the platform, make sure the "read" and "write" permissions are selected.
  6. Make sure "Bidirectional sync" is selected.  This means that what you do in Zoom will be shown in your calendar and anything you create in your calendar will show in Zoom.
  7. You will be brought to that program's log-in page (so if you selected Google, you will be brought to your Google sign-in page to verify you are who Zoom thinks you are)
  8. If you return to the same place in Zoom after the first calendar is selected, you will see options for the remaining programs. So it will look like the image below if you linked your Google calendar.

  9. If you want to link any other calendars, repeat steps 5 through possibly 9
  10. As soon as you link Zoom, you will see the ability to schedule a meeting via that calendar
