Student - How to Update Personal Email

Overview

The personal email on file with the University is what allows students to receive a security code when claiming their account, resetting their password, or configuring their 2FA tokens. Without a reachable email address, students can experience issues with the ITS password portal. This page explains how a student can update their personal email on file with the University.

Updating Your Personal Email via BU Brain

  1. Go to my.binghamton.edu
  2. Click BU Brain on the top ribbon

  1. Select the My Information tab

  1. Select Update Email Addresses in the middle of the screen

  1. Select the email address under the Admissions Personal Email section

  1. In the email field, provide the updated email address
