In Brightspace an instructor has the ability to submit an assignment on behalf of a student. This feature is called "Impersonate" and is found in the Classlist tool. This feature also allows you to see exactly what a student sees in your course. This is especially helpful to ensure that they are seeing their grades properly if you are making use of the Grades tool.
To activate the Impersonate feature:
1. Enter into the Classlist tool.
2. Search for or scroll to locate the student you want to impersonate.
3. Drop their caret menu down.
4. Choose Impersonate from the menu.
To exit out of Impersonation:
1. Click on the student's name that now displays in the upper right corner.
2. Click the "X" on that menu.
