Install Google Workspace Sync for Outlook

For those who prefer to use Microsoft Outlook to manage email messages, Google provides Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook (formerly known as G-Suite Sync for Microsoft Outlook) to view your Binghamton email on your Windows computer. Please note that while Outlook can be used to manage email and calendars, some Bmail features such as setting a vacation responder, viewing shared documents and setting calendar or account permissions among others must still be completed by logging into http://bmail.binghamton.edu. Before downloading and installing Google Workspace Sync, make sure Outlook is already installed on your computer, or download and install Microsoft Office from office.com by signing into your Binghamton University Microsoft account.

  1. Go to the website https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gssmo# and click on Download GWSMO.

  1. On the Google Workspace Sync setup prompt, leave the boxes unchecked and select Create profile.

  1. Start Microsoft Outlook>OK. Your inbox should start loading in Outlook.

If you have a lot of emails and calendars, the syncing process could take several hours or even days. By default, the size of the inbox is limited and only your most recent emails are loaded. If you want to see all of your older messages, you may need to adjust the Outlook mailbox size. Click on the Google Workspace Sync icon near your clock. Select Set mailbox size limit… and then choose the limit you would like to set.
