Overview
There are two ways to add Binghamton University's Academic Calendar to your Google Calendar so you can see all of the important academic events with your own simultaneously.
From URL
- Log into your Binghamton University Gmail Account
- Click on the Google Apps icon (the 9 dots in a square) in the upper right corner near the BU logo
- In the drop down menu, select Calendar. This will open a new tab.
- In the left column of the calendar towards the bottom is the "Other Calendars" section. Click on the plus sign (+) symbol. If you do not see this side panel, click on the 3 stacked horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the screen and it will open.
- Of the options that pop up when you click the +, choose "From URL"
- In the "From URL" box, copy and paste the following: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/binghamton.edu_j392g702lqsgsafpfndrlh902g%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
- Click on the "Add calendar" button which will turn blue once you paste the URL in the box
- When you go back to your main calendar page, you will now see the "University Academic Calendar" under the "Other calendars" area
Subscribe to calendar
If you are unable to copy and paste the URL for the University Academic Calendar as listed above, you can use this method for the same result.
- Complete steps 1 to 4 listed in the first method
- Of the options that pop up when you click the + next to Other calendar, choose "Subscribe to calendar"
- Instead of the blue URL box shown above, there is a blue box in which you search for the calendar you want. In that box, type "University Academic Calendar"
- Select the calendar from the list, which will appear faster as you type more of "University Academic Calendar"
- The Calendar settings page will pop up but you don't need to do anything here and can return to your main calendar page. You will now see the "University Academic Calendar" under the "Other calendars" area.
