Print from your Windows computer:
Allows printing all document file types and control of printer options including page selection and duplex or single-sided printouts but requires the following steps for setup and print driver installation.
Access the Windows 10 Run Desktop App by searching for it in the Search box or Cortana in Windows 10:
Open the Run App and type the following Student Printing System server address and then click OK:
\\kissingcamels.bu.binghamton.edu
You will be prompted to log in with your Binghamton University user name and password. Your username should be preceded by BU\ as illustrated below:
A folder will open displaying the network printer information. Right click the printer icon named StudentSecurePrint and choose Connect from the menu.
Windows will install the driver and add the printer to the Windows printer menu.
You can now open your document on your computer and print by selecting the StudentSecurePrint on kissingcamels.bu.binghamton.edu printer from the menu on your computer.
To release your print job, go to the most convenient student printer and wave your ID card over the black ID card reader.
Any print jobs in your queue are released and printed.
Print from your Mac Computer
Allows printing all document file types and control of printer options including page selection and duplex or single-sided printouts but requires the following steps for setup and print driver installation.
Open System Preferences from the Apple menu or dock and open Printers & Scanners.
Click the "+" button below the list of printers to open the Add menu.
Select the "IP" icon from the Add menu and enter the following information in the fields on the form:
Address: YOUR_ID@kissingcamels.bu.binghamton.edu (replace YOUR_ID with your own Binghamton University user name)
Protocol: Select Line Printer Daemon - LPD
Queue: StudentSecurePrint
Name: Your choice of name - kissingcamels.bu.binghamton.edu
Use: Generic Postscript Printer
Click Add
Select the Duplex option and Click OK
Web Print
Log into Print@Binghamton (https://print.binghamton.edu:9192/user) with your Computer Account credentials. Select "Web Print" and upload the files you want to print and select the number of copies. The only supported file type is PDF. Documents are automatically printed as one-sided and will print the entire document. Go to a student printer and wave your ID card over the black ID card reader. Any print jobs in your queue are released and printed.
Email to Print
Attach the file you want to print and email print@binghamton.edu. The file must be in PDF format. Documents are automatically printed as one sided and will print the entire document. You will receive an email message with a link that must be clicked in order to submit the print job. After clicking the link, go to a student printer and wave your ID card over the black ID card reader. Any print jobs in your queue are released and printed.
Printing from an ITS Lab or Classroom Computer
ITS Lab and Classroom Computers are configured to print directly to the Print@Binghamton printing system. To release your print job, go to the most convenient student printer and wave your ID card over the black ID card reader. Any print jobs in your queue are released and printed.
