Restoring Archived Content in Panopto

In order to efficiently manage storage space, Panopto automatically archives content that has not been viewed for a specified amount of time. Content that has been archived is not deleted and can be restored by the user.

*Note: Archived content may take up to 48 hours to restore. Please plan accordingly.

Please follow the steps below to restore content in Panopto:

Restoring Individual Videos

Please follow the steps below to restore individual videos:

Navigate to the folder where the content used to be located. The current folder is indicated in the green bar at the top of the page
The default view for any folder in Panopto is the "Ready to View" content. Click on the "Archived" button to access the archived content in that folder
Hover over the video that you want to restore and click "Restore from Archive"
Click "OK"

Restoring Multiple Videos at Once

Please follow the steps below to restore multiple videos at the same time:

Click the "System" icon at the bottom of the page
Click "Archive"
Navigate to the folder where the archived content used to be. In this case the folder is the "My Folder"
Select the content you would like to restore
Click "Restore From Archive"
Click "OK"
